Atlas Peak
Elevation | 2,200 FEET

Atlas Peak sits at one of the highest grape-growing altitudes in Napa Valley. Most of the vineyards are planted within the walls of an ancient volcano. Wines from this region typically require 30+ months of barrel aging and demonstrate bold flavors and tannins.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon
Yountville
Elevation | 98 FEET

Our vineyards in Yountville are a stone's throw from the Silverado Trail. Surrounding a knoll, they feature varied sun angles and row placements. The result is a surprisingly full-bodied Cabernet with wonderful complexity.

Howell Mountain
Elevation | 1,720 FEET

Howell Mountain is known for both fruit and tannin. Our vineyards are located on the other side of the fence from some of the most famous and sought-after estate wines in the region. These vineyards benefit from positions that are typically above the fog line, affording warm days for ripening and cool nights to extend hang time.

Syrah

Paso Robles
Elevation | 1,150 FEET

Paso Robles has long been known for the quality of their Syrahs. Our Paso Robles Heath Vineyards Syrah is consistently rated 90+ by Wine Enthusiast. These Jenblossom Cellars grapes are grown on the far west side and receive consistent cooling air from the Pacific, resulting in harvests that can reach into November.

Petit Verdot
Petit Verdot
Texas High Plains
Elevation | 3,300 FEET

At 3,300 feet elevation, the porous, fine, loamy red sand of the Texas High Plains yields a richly textured and intensely hued Petit Verdot.

Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc
Knights Valley
Elevation | 980 FEET

This Sonoma Knights Valley vineyard borders Calistoga in Napa Valley. Cabernet Franc is not as widely planted as Cabernet Sauvignon; however, when well-placed and grown correctly, it produces flavors that are unmistakable. Delicate and floral, yet lush and dark purple.

Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir
Petaluma Gap
Elevation | 1,150 FEET

Petaluma Gap has become the rising star for Pinot Noir. While representing many characteristics of Pinot from Russian River in Sonoma and Willamette Valley in Oregon, this AVA demonstrates more substantial body and flavors.

Inspiration

The Heath Family brands are innovative and often pursue directions that others don’t.

Owners, Brian and Jennifer Heath are dedicated to wines from their home state of Texas. Grape Creek exclusively contracts over 250 acres of Texas vineyards in addition to their 25-acre estate vineyard in Fredericksburg. While the Grape Creek and Heath Sparkling brands represent over 90% of the wine produced, the Heath Vineyards and now Jenblossom Cellars wines offer different terroirs to enjoy.

Jason reached out to a long-time friend, winery owner and industry expert in Napa who offered access to five tons of grapes he had held under contract for years.

It was the kind of fruit you just can’t find without knowing someone.

The vineyard was on Pritchard Hill, located in Napa just up the hill from Lake Hennessey and a few miles from the Silverado Trail. Stunningly beautiful, Pritchard Hill is home to some of the world's most sought-after Cabernet and to wineries like Colgin, Ovid, Brand and Continuum. The wines offered range from $250-$700 per bottle. “We were ecstatic and the 2016 vintage of Jenblossom Scary Good was now real!”

And, that was just the beginning of the story…

So where did the inspiration for JB Cellars come from?

We were at Jennifer's birthday dinner in 2016 and were contemplating the wine list at the restaurant. We were looking at a few of our favorites and Brian said,

“I bet Jason could make a wine for us to share with staff, friends and family that is as good or better than most on this list, but it would have to be scary good!”

Coupled with Jenblossom, Brian’s nickname for Jennifer, Jenblossom Scary Good was born. “Before dessert was served, Brian was texting Jason Englert, our winemaker, to find a ‘scary good’ vineyard in a world-class AVA,” Jennifer said.

Every great brand deserves an equally great icon to represent it. Jennifer has a deep connection to butterflies tied to her relationship with her grandmother. For Mother’s Day, Jennifer’s daughter Lauren drew a butterfly and included the famous poem “Love you Forever” by Munsch & McGraw.

That same butterfly now represents all wines in the Jenblossom Cellars portfolio.

We now look forward to sharing this limited production with even more friends!
